Warehouse Workers Seek Improvements to Wages, Health Care, and Seniority (SACRAMENTO, Calif.) – After 10 months of contentious contract negotiations, 124 members of Teamsters Local 150 are on strike at the AmerisourceBergen distribution center in Sacramento, Calif.

On February 24th, in a great display of solidarity, AmerisourceBergen members vote unanimously to authorize a strike. This comes after management at AmerisourceBergen offered a substandard deal to the Local 150 Teamsters.

Employees at Tony's Fine Foods Overwhelmingly Vote to Join @teamsters Over 150 truck drivers at Tony's Fine Foods, owned by UNFI, have decisively voted to join the Teamsters, marking the conclusion of a year-long campaign. The newly organized members demonstrated remarkable solidarity to achieve this significant milestone.

The Teamsters working at the Teichert Scale House ratified a 5 year contract starting August 1, 2021. This contract includes a better medical plan, improved language changes and some of the biggest wage increases in its history for the members. Business Agent Doug Secord was the principal spokesperson for the negotiations and was one step ahead at all times.

Last week, Teamsters Local 150 members working at Canteen Vending in Sacramento overwhelmingly ratified a new contract, giving them the biggest wage increases in the history of their contract. This agreement includes a $5 increase over 4 years (with $2 increase upon ratification), added protections against GPS surveillance on the drivers, added vacations, improved bidding language, newly added D.

Local 150 has secured another unprecedented contract for its members. Business agent Doug Secord has negotiated and ratified one of the best contracts ever for C&S (GMD Warehouse Sacramento). Doug was able to secure an increase in wages of $5.25 in 5 years with $2.25 the first year, an increase of $1.00 in pension over the term of the contract and a 3% decrease in medical costs for members.

The Northern California Teamsters Committee met the week of March 17, 2023, and concluded a weeklong bargaining session with UPS on the Nor Cal Sort and Supplemental Agreements. Click the attachment to view the full update.

The annual local 150 Christmas General Membership Meeting was a success. Members from all over Sacramento came to enjoy music, dinner and a raffle.
