Ed started his Teamster career in 1978 as a ready mix concrete driver for Pacific Ready Mix, now known as RMC Pacific Materials. In 1980 he was appointed Shop Steward where he helped on all the company contract negotiations up to the 1999 talks where the employees ratified the best ready mix contract in 25 years.
In 1996 Ed was elected as a trustee on the Executive Board for Teamsters Local 150 where he served until being appointed as a Business Representative/Organizer for Local 150 in June of 2002. He was elected as a Business Representative in January of 2003. Ed is a delegate to the Sacramento Sierra Building and Construction Trades Council, a delegate to the Central Labor Council, and a member of the Regional Organizing Committee of Sacramento. |

Michael Tobin joined Teamsters Local 150 in 1978 and worked at Nabisco, Granite Construction and Lovotti Brothers Distribution where he served as Shop Steward and as negotiating team member. He was elected President of Local 150 in 1988 and served three years before being elected Business Agent in 1991. He has been serving continuously ever since.
Michael serves as Co-Chairman of the Northern California Teamsters Heavy, Highway, Building and Construction Committee and is Chairman for Joint Council 38 Construction. He is also a delegate to the Sacramento Sierra Building and Construction Trades Council. His duties as trustee on the Northern California Teamsters Apprentice Training Program has served to benefit Local 150 and hundreds of members who have received their commercial drivers licenses and training upgrades.
